About Jio Institute
The Jio Institute is located in Navi Mumbai which was established by the Reliance Industries Ltd and Reliance Foundation. It is a multidisciplinary higher education institution that aspires to improve research efforts and foster an entrepreneurial and innovative culture. In 2018, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, released a letter of intent to establish the Jio Institute as a Greenfield Institute under the UGC (Institutions of Eminence Deemed to be Universities) Regulations.
The institute is committed to sustaining success by bringing together global scholars and thought leaders and offering an enriching student experience through world-class education and a research and innovation culture. Currently, the Jio Institute offers postgraduate programmes only. Admission to Jio Institute courses is granted by an entrance examination administered by the institute. The institute also offers students job development chances by creating an environment of interaction between industry, government, and social sector groups.
